Showing posts with the label shopping
I feel very much at peace with myself right now. That's something hard to come by, especially after spending years struggling to come to terms with certain facts. One of which concerns my father's passing and that's still difficult to fully accept but in this moment, I am at peace with myself. I almost never head out on my own because there's no specific reason to but yesterday was one of the rare days I took time off for myself and headed to town to do a little shopping while getting some things done. There was no way to avoid the overcrowded streets. I started at Orchard Gateway, dropped by Robinsons, headed to Takashimaya next before ending off at ION but people were streaming in from every corner. I don't particularly hate crowds but it sometimes gets overwhelming to be in a sea of strangers. Anyway, it was a good 3 hours spent in town while sipping on my Alisan milk tea from Gong Cha . (I have to say my obsession with Alisan Milk Tea is skyrocket...

Happy National Day

I've never been much of a patriotic person but come this day every year, part of me swells up inside and it reminds me of who I am. Although I will forever complain about the rising costs of living (and everything else) and I will continue to frown upon the never-ending crowd, I have to give it to Singapore for providing me a safe environment to grow up in. I wouldn't trade national security for anything. Moving on. Today was truly an enjoyable day. :') I recall a couple of nights ago I was telling the bestf about how I felt the teeter was neglecting me because of work issues + boys (literally). I meant to say I felt she was too engrossed with these boys who are interested in her that she doesn't realise she's been neglecting me. No matter how understanding I try to be, I just cannot accept it. We haven't had a decent conversation in days. Each time I bring up something, she either replies me with one-word answers or she doesn't reply at all. I u...

LOOTS

The month of June has barely begun but I'm already sooooo  excited because I've bought 3 items already! Okay, I didn't really buy them because the teeter paid for me. Nonetheless, cannot wait to share what I've bought with all of you! Before that, if you don't already know, HVV  is having a massive  sale right now so click over and check them out if you haven't! They've an amazing range of apparels up for sale and I bought a dress from them minutes ago. ☺ Also, yesterday (if I remember correctly), I bought 2 dresses from MDS ! Okay, now, disclosing the items I bought: #1. Summer Style Sundress in Pink - $28.90 Gorgeous piece that I love to bits! Bright colors apt for summer (even though it's been raining every day) and the whole piece is just so vibrant! Makes me happy just look at it. ☺ You can't tell from the image (and I hope it doesn't show too obvious) but the top half resembles a bustier. I've always had something aga...

I'm back!

And yes, I am officially back! As such, I shall update on the rest of my trip. :-) Picking up from where I last left off, we picked Aunty Su up from Heathrow Airport on 28 June 2013, Friday. And then we took a almost-2-hour car ride to Bath . With the favourite Aunt at the car park in Bath. :-) While walking, we chanced upon this bridge which overlooked the lake and it was a pretty good view (although not captured in this picture) but featuring the generation of ladies before me! As I walked, I couldn't help but snap shots of the beautiful environment. I know I'm easily amazed but every building looked so antique and unique yet refreshing at the same time. Not anything like those in Singapore, of course. Had lunch at a pub. My first experience of being at a pub and I have to say, it wasn't a bad one. In fact, it was way different from what I expected it to be! Mandatory shot with Aunty Su. :-) Mommy's dish. She had some sau...
