No matter if you're near or far, our bond will never break

" At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each one of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us. " - Albert Schweitzer (1875-1965)   Today's magic practice began with a very powerful quote and it put me in an extremely good mood filled with nothing but gratitude for the people who have helped me in some way or another. As part of the practice, I chose 3 people to focus on and spoke out the reasons why I'm grateful for them. True enough, at the end of it, I was overwhelmed with emotions and almost on the brink of tears not because I was sad of any sort but because I felt so much at ease after giving my thanks. This might become one of my favourite magic practice. This magic practice  I speak of comes from Rhonda Byrne's the MAGIC , which I've religiously followed in the last 12 days. The book begins with one of the most sensible quotes ever and it has become of...

It's all good

I don't even remember when the last Thankful Thursday post was but I suppose it just goes to show how undedicated I am. That definitely does not mean I haven't been thankful. There is just so much to be thankful for in life and it's such a challenge to pinpoint every single one but that doesn't stop me from giving thanks. 😊 Although it's Friday today, I meant for this post to be released yesterday to coincide with the meaning of the title so despite being a day late, I'm gonna keep the title nonetheless. 😅 This week has been extremely, tremendously fun. 🙆 I made time to meet up with some of my long-time-no-see friends and that really made me happy. 😌 Monday began slightly early as I headed out for lunch with Mel and Rachel. It was supposed to be a meet-up with friends from my Korean class but Gekhooi was working that morning and Lynette had driving lesson at 4:30PM so both of them couldn't make it for lunch in town. The 3 of us went to Seoul G...

goodnight monday

It is Monday all over again although Monday is about to end in a couple of hours' time. I promised myself last week that I shall not schedule anything for this week primarily because I was looking to energise myself. For that, I always find disconnecting myself from the rest of the world works well in helping me get back on track. Unfortunately, there was reason to leave the house this morning. For some reason, I couldn't sleep past 9 o'clock and found myself wide awake unlike other mornings. I'd usually laze in bed, roll around for as long as I can, but this morning was definitely different. First thing I did when I got out of bed was to look for my baby boy, where he emerged from my brother's room. So I snuggled up to him on the floor but he made a different choice. He decides he feels better on my room floor. Can only imagine how upset he was when I closed the door on him at 1AM last night because he kept walking in and out of the room and we h...

ARTISTRY x

Been looking forward to today since some time last week and so glad everything went well! I've been meaning to ask Angel out for a long time after she attended my birthday party because I never really got to be a good host to her (or anyone else actually) but I hesitated for a long time as I wasn't sure if it was the right move to make. Nonetheless, the mini me inside my head kept screaming for me to make the move and with 5 seconds of insane courage, I did. I honestly wasn't expecting anything but I was more than just delighted she agreed to meet me today. :') So Angel suggested Artistry , a cafe conveniently located on Jln Pinang street. And, boy, the food was so good. I had my go with their eggs on toast  for $10 and I'd say its money well-spent on finely cooked eggs and delicious sautéed mushrooms + spinach. The mushrooms were so, so, so good! More importantly, it was a filling meal for a much more reasonable price (compared to other cafes I've been ...

put on your best boys and i'll wear my pearls

" Staring at the bottom of your glass Hoping one day it'll make your dream last But dreams come slow and they goes so fast Staring at the ceiling in the dark Same old empty feeling in your heart 'Cause love comes slow and it goes so fast " Beginning today's post (again) with lyrics to one of my favourite songs - Passenger's Let Her Go . Definitely a sad song but still a beautiful song with nothing short of relatable lyrics. Only that I've been really happy these days I don't exactly feel depressed listening to sad songs now... I still appreciate the song though! :') Just here to share today's outfit but before that, here's what happened today. Actually, let's start with last night instead. I went to bed before midnight because of a massive, massive  headache so I thought I sleep it off, which I fortunately did. Scheduled to relief 2 classes this morning so I woke up half past 8 feeling more refreshed than I wa...

Crystal, Maybach, Diamonds on your timepiece

Been looking forward to this day since last Friday and am so glad everything turned out perfect. :') Today! I met up with Harshini, someone I've known since I was in pre-school but was never really close to apart from the fact that we live in the same block, and we visited Grub  nestled in Bishan Park for the first time. Before anything, here's what we ordered: Yuzu Mint Soda - $4.50 This is part of their grubber's favourites and I was just honestly curious. Anyway, what this really tastes like is a mix of soda, lime and mint leaves so you've got a refreshing mix there. It was a good companion with the main I had. Mentaiko Fries - $9 I was initially hesitant about this but it don't taste too bad. I still have no clue why they added seaweed though. Fries coupled with mentaiko sauce is a pretty fine combination, only that the sauce was a little too much  for me to handle after a while. Well, $9 is considered decent for mentaiko sauce. ...

they say time flies but you keep breaking its wings

Recently listened to Tablo's cover of Taeyang's Eyes, Nose, Lips  and I fell in love with the beautiful & meaningful lyrics. AKMU also covered the same song. Love the soothing voices coupled with perfect harmony. This justifies why I'm a YG-stan. Can you feel the YG-family loveeeeeeeee? ت ~~~~~~~~~~ I realize I've been staying home the last couple of days and while I like staying at home (because I don't have to spend money), it can get really boring as well. ☹ I mean, there's only so much  I can do at home - watch dramas, sleep, watch more dramas, eat, bathe, eat some more. You get what I mean. Thankfully, I got to head out yesterday even though I was just running an errand for Mama at Northpoint. ☺ Mandatory outfit shot of what I wore: Sundress from MDS - $29.90 Sandals from Havanas Watch from Fossil Uploaded a different version on my Instagram . ت I wanted to share that version here as well but I didn't transfer ...
